...the website of the Watershed Suite Project, a curriculum enrichment program that engages the multiple intelligences to build understanding of the ecological concept of a "watershed" through the symbol systems of the arts. During the spring of 2005 visiting artists worked with students and teachers at Rogers Elementary School in Bellaire, Michigan on three separate visits toward building skills that allow creation of individual or group art evocative of the students' watershed. The resulting art (poetry, visual art, and music) will be shared with the public at a Watershed Suite Project Community Celebration at the school in September, 2005, where a public art work created by students and project visual artist Glenn Wolff will also be unveiled and there will be a participatory performance of selected movements of John Wunsch's Watershed Suite.
In the Grand Traverse region, the Watershed Suite Project partners with the Traverse Bay Area Intermediate School District which provides support for related watershed learning experiences via naturalist experiences, the science disciplines, and the symbol system of math.
